While we're on the anti-Semitic subject here...

Iranian official says cartoon is conspiracy to improve image of mice, Jews.

Tom and Jerry, the lovable cat and mouse locked in cartoon combat, is a Jewish conspiracy, according to an Iranian official.

Prof. Hasan Bolkhari, a cultural advisor to the Iranian Education Ministry, delivered the news last week on Iran's Channel 4 during a broadcast of film seminar where he was lecturing. An excerpt of the video was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

"If you happen to watch this cartoon tomorrow, bear in mind the points I have just raised," said Bolkhari, "and watch it from this perspective. The mouse is very clever and smart. Everything he does is so cute. He kicks the poor cat's a--. Yet this cruelty does not make you despise the mouse. He looks so nice, and he is so clever. ... This is exactly why some say it was meant to erase this image of mice from the minds of European children, and to show that the mouse is not dirty and has these traits. Unfortunately, we have many such cases in Hollywood shows."

Ooookay... Well. Errr. Uhhh. Trying to think of something intelligent to say. Obviously intelligence isn't a requirement to be an Iranian official.

More on the Anti-American/Anti-Semitic film.

From World Net Daily.

The raucous reception by some members of Germany's 2.5 million-strong Turkish community to "Valley of the Wolves," a movie depicting crazed U.S. troops in Iraq massacring a wedding party and a Jewish doctor removing organs from prisoners, has German politicians worried – so worried, Bavaria's interior minister sent intelligence service agents to theaters showing the film to "gauge" audience reaction and identify potential radicals.

Over 130,000 people, mostly young Muslims, saw the film in its first five days. The London Telegraph reports Berlin audiences, made up mostly of Turkish young men, clapping furiously when the building housing the U.S. military commander in northern Iraq is blown up and a standing ovation – accompanied by shouts of "Allah is great!" – when the movie's American antagonist, played by Billy Zane, is stabbed in the chest.

"The Americans always behave like this," one 18-year-old viewer said. "They slaughtered the Red Indians and killed thousands in Vietnam. I was not shocked by the film, I see this on the news every day."

So I see he watches CNN and listens to John Kerry. Somebody needs to tell this kid a thing or two.

...the [film's] anti-Semitic element has drawn some of the most serious criticism. The villain of the movie is an American Jewish doctor, played by Gary Busey, who selects Iraqi prisoners, in a manner reminiscent of Nazi concentration camp doctor Joseph Mengele, and removes their organs to sell to rich buyers in the U.S. and Israel.

Read the rest here.

I won't be redundant and state my opinion on this piece of crap (oops, I just did. Sorry, too hard not to,) but did you notice the first paragraph and the sentence in bold? I guess Muslims "act out" not only when they think they're insulted, but when people they hate are slandered. Hmm. How about that?

But this is a little weird.

Free computer wallpaper with your favorite Fox News Anchor. Oookay. I don't know, some people might think it's really neat...just seems rather bizarre to me.

Remember the soldiers.

(hat tip: Michelle Malkin.)

From the Modesto Bee, Modesto, CA.

The moment of truth Julie Gonsalves dreads is still some time away — when her 3-year-old is old enough to understand that Daddy won't come home anymore.

"That's the hard part, telling Cody his daddy is gone," said Gonsalves, the 30-year-old widow of Turlock native Chad Gonsalves, a Green Beret who was killed in Afghanistan last week.

"I tried to tell Cody, but he just didn't get it," Gonsalves explained by telephone from her home in Fayetteville, N.C. "I told him Daddy wasn't coming home, he was in heaven. Cody said, 'Daddy not coming home? Silly Mommy. Daddy's coming home.'"

If it's hard for her son to grasp the grim reality, Julie understands. It's still hard for her to realize this deployment has no end. He won't be coming home to her, Cody, or twin sons Dylan and Blake.

Michelle Malkin asks that you go to Legacy.com, and leave a note to the family. I'd like to ask all my readers to do so. It's just one family out of many, but it's the least we can do.

Saudis/Egyptians to Rice - we won't isolate Hamas.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- Saudi Arabia on Wednesday became the second Arab ally in as many days to reject the U.S. strategy of financially isolating Hamas if the terrorist group does not moderate its policies as leader of the Palestinians.

A day earlier, Rice had stood by as Saud's Egyptian counterpart said it was premature to cut off aid to a Hamas-led government.

And I suppose all that pillaging, burning, rioting and just plain making terrorists of themselves didn't convince 'em that Hamas doesn't really have a record of being nice for no reason. Hmm. Convinced me pretty darn well. I guess Prince Saud and I think differently.

Group to monitor "Desperate Housewives."

On the heels of the demise of NBC's "Book of Daniel" - which many Christians saw as an affront to their faith and actively opposed - ABC's popular "Desperate Housewives" program has become the latest target of a media watchdog organization that will sponsor a boycott of the show's advertisers.

OneMillionMoms.com, which is affiliated with the American Family Association, calls "Desperate Housewives" "one of the most vulgar and tasteless programs on television."

The group plans to monitor the program from April through June to identify companies that advertise during the show. OneMillionMoms.com will then call for a one-year boycott of one or more of the leading sponsors.

So what do you think? Great idea? Taking things a little too far? Or just plain juvenile?

I say go ahead with it. Desperate Housewives is far too scuzzy a program to be on at 9:00/8:00 on Sunday, in my opinion. Besides, it's not like they're threatening to burn down ABC's HQ's or, you know, actually doing it. It's only a peaceful protest.

That just my opinion, though. What's yours?

Can we ever expect the true story from the MSM?

'Hate crime' victims: Young, poor, white. From World Net Daily.

WASHINGTON – The most likely victim of a hate crime in the U.S. is a poor, young, white, single urban dweller, according to an analysis of Justice Department statistics collected from between July 2000 and December 2003.

A November report by the Bureau of Justice Statistics detailing a study of 210,000 "hate crimes" a year during that period has gone virtually unreported by the U.S. press.

But it does contain some surprising numbers. While race is, by far, the No. 1 factor cited as the reason for hate crimes, blacks are slightly less likely to be victims and far more likely to be perpetrators, the statistics show.

This certainly has to go on the list of most under-reported stories of the year (right next to Al Gore's treasonous tendencies.) I have not heard one word about these findings, but I have heard about how ice is supposedly melting on the South Pole and making Polar Bears depressed. Or something like that.

But seriously, folks, let me know if you hear even a whisper of this on any mainstream news reports or in any mainstream publications. I doubt that you will.

Iranian Students Attend Suicide Bombing Seminar

Feb. 20, 2006 — A group of potential suicide bombers in Tehran warned the United States and Britain they will attack coalition military bases in Iraq if there is a strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.

An Iranian group calling itself Esteshadion, which translates as "Martyrdom Seekers," hopes to sign up thousands of potential bombers.

As they gather in Tehran at Khajeh Nasir University, these students aren't studying the subtleties of history or science, they're learning about suicide bombings. The students study videos showing suicide attacks around the Middle East and listen to lectures from a former Revolutionary Guard member who praises the use of suicide bombers.

"...they should know that they have interests in some sensitive areas which can be targeted by our suicide attackers," said Muhammad Ali Samadi, one of the movement's leaders. Samadi claims to have trained 1,000 students already.

I don't really have anything to add to this. It's just so crazy.

The latest Anti-American/Anti-Semite Film co-stars two Americans.

(hat tip: Being Right)

This is just disgusting.

ISTANBUL, Turkey (Feb. 2) - In the most expensive Turkish movie ever made, American soldiers in Iraq crash a wedding and pump a little boy full of lead in front of his mother.

They kill dozens of innocent people with random machine gun fire, shoot the groom in the head, and drag those left alive to Abu Ghraib prison - where a Jewish doctor cuts out their organs, which he sells to rich people in New York, London and Tel Aviv.

The movie's American stars are Billy Zane, who plays a self-professed "peacekeeper sent by God," and Gary Busey as the Jewish-American doctor.

We don't have any business with what the Turks do, but as for the American actors...what do you think? Peaceful dissent? Treasonous? Or just plain despicable?

Clinton urges EU to convict publishers of caricatures

ISLAMABAD: Former US president Bill Clinton on Friday condemned the publication of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) caricatures by European newspapers and urged countries concerned to convict the publishers.

Talking to reporters after meeting Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in Islamabad, Clinton said he disagreed with the caricatures and that the publication was against religious and ethical norms.

No more words necessary.

Muslims Target U.S. Embassy in Indonesia.

    From Fox News.

JAKARTA, Indonesia — Hundreds of Muslims protesting caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad tried to storm the U.S. Embassy on Sunday, smashing the windows of a guard post but failing to push through the gates. Several people were injured.

In Turkey, tens of thousands gathered in Istanbul chanting slogans against Denmark, Israel and the United States.

I am getting down-right sick of this. OK, so I've been down-right sick of this for quite a while. It's irritating and babyish and shameless demogogery from people apparantly too stupid to express their views any other way.

And did you notice the second paragraph? What does Israel and the US have to do with it? I guess they don't really need any excuse to hate Jews or Americans, but the cartoons have served as a rather good one.

And tell me, with all the raving hate against Jews and Americans, have you ever seen anything like this from the our side or the Jewish side?

Things that make you think a little.

There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January.
In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the
month of January. That's just one American city,
about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of Iraq.

When some claim that President Bush shouldn't
have started this war, state the following:

        a. FDR led us into World War II.

          b. Germany never attacked us; Japan did.
          From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost ...
an average of 112,500 per year.

            c. Truman finished that war and started one in Korea.
            North Korea never attacked us.
            From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost ...
an average of 18,334 per year.

d John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
              Vietnam never attacked us.

                e. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
                From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost ..
an average of 5,800 per year.

                  f. Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
                  Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three
times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on
                  multiple occasions.

                    g. In the years since terrorists attacked us , President Bush
has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled
al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and, North
Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who
slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

                      The Democrats are complaining
about how long the war is taking.

                        But:

It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno
to take the Branch Davidian compound.
                          That was a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence for chemical weapons
in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find
the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the
Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard
than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his
                              Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took
to count the votes in Florida!

                                ---- Anonymous

Kinda makes you stop and think, doesn't it?

Note: This is often credited to John Glenn, but that's not true.

Apologies to all the cat lovers out there...

                                How to Clean The Toilet:

                                1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

                                  2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

                                    3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid.

                                      4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

                                        5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash and rinse".

                                          6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.

                                            7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

                                              8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.

                                                9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.

                                                  Sincerely,

                                                    The Dog

The Secret Tapes -- Inside Saddam's Palace.
"...One of the most dramatic moments in the 12 hours of recordings comes when Saddam predicts — during a meeting in the mid 1990s — a terrorist attack on the United States. 'Terrorism is coming. I told the Americans a long time before August 2 and told the British as well … that in the future there will be terrorism with weapons of mass destruction.'

Saddam goes on to say such attacks would be difficult to stop. 'In the future, what would prevent a booby-trapped car causing a nuclear explosion in Washington or a germ or a chemical one?'

But I thought Saddam didn't have any terror ties.

"But he adds that Iraq would never do such a thing. 'This is coming, this story is coming but not from Iraq.' "

Uhhh... they're taking his word for it?

"At one point Hussein Kamel, Saddam's son-in-law and the man who was in charge of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction efforts can be heard on the tapes, speaking openly about hiding information from the U.N.'

We did not reveal all that we have,' Kamel says in the meeting. 'Not the type of weapons, not the volume of the materials we imported, not the volume of the production we told them about, not the volume of use. None of this was correct.' "

So... he did have WMD's? You're kidding!

"Charles Duelfer, who led the official U.S. search for weapons of mass destruction after the war, says the tapes show extensive deception but don't prove that weapons were still hidden in Iraq at the time of the U.S.-led war in 2003.

'What they do is support the conclusion in the report, which we made in the last couple of years, that the regime had the intention of building and rebuilding weapons of mass destruction, when circumstances permitted.' "

I never said that Saddam definitely had WMD's. I just think that whether or not he had WMD's right then, the war was necessary because sooner or later (and probably sooner) he would have gotten them and used them.

This is probably my most jumbled post yet, so I think I'll shut up now. I do want to know what you think about this. Does this prove that Saddam was a threat? Does it seem to justify the war in Iraq?

                                                    A short musical rant.

                                                    (ht: Big White Hat)

What has happened to Country music? I used to hear decent songs on the radio when I tuned it to the Country station. Alright, I didn't, I'm only 15 and Country has been pretty much awful all my life :) But what has happened to this Genre? Can't we let the pop and rock stay on the pop and rock stations? Grr... OK, I'll stop ranting now, but just compare.

"Back through the years I go wanderin' once again
Back to the seasons of my youth
I do recall this box of rags that someone gave us
And how my mama put those rags to use
There were rags of many colors
                                                    Every piece was small
                                                    I didn't have a coat
And it was way down in the fall
                                                    Mama sewed the rags together
                                                    Sewin' every piece with love
She made my coat of many colors
That I was so proud of
While Mama sewed she told a story
From the Bible she had read
About a coat of many colors
Joseph wore, and then she said
I hope this coat will bring you
                                                    Good luck and happiness
And I just couldn't wait to wear it
And mama blessed it with a kiss

My coat of many colors that my mama made for me
Made only from rags, but I wore it so proudly
Although we had not money, I was rich as I could be
In my coat of many colors, my mama made for me."

KING FUNERAL TURNS POLITICAL: BUSH BASHED BY FORMER PRESIDENT, REVEREND

                                                    Tue Feb 07 2006 15:49:48 ET

Today’s memorial service for civil rights activist Coretta Scott King — billed as a “celebration” of her life — turned suddenly political as one former president took a swipe at the current president, who was also lashed by an outspoken black pastor!

The outspoken Rev. Joseph Lowery, co-founder of Southern Christian Leadership Conference, ripped into President Bush during his short speech, ostensibly about the wife of Martin Luther King Jr.

“She extended Martin’s message against poverty, racism and war. She deplored the terror inflicted by our smart bombs on missions way afar. We know now that there were no weapons of mass destruction over there,” Lowery said.

The mostly black crowd applauded, then rose to its feet and cheered in a two-minute-long standing ovation.

I turned on Fox News just in time to hear "No Weapons of Mass Destruction," and I just thought "oh, great, here we go again." In no means do I idolize MLK or Coretta Scott King, but I think that it's very disappointing that these people couldn't get through a funeral without being political. Very, very disappointing.

                                                    Anti-Muslim/Anti-Jew - a Comparison.

In all the confusion surrounding the riots and protests and all - has anyone ever seen the cartoons this is all about? The MSM is not showing them for fear of using their right to free speech, and all I've heard is "Cartoons insulting Muhammed." So why don't we compare one of the Anti-Muslim cartoons to an Anti-Jewish cartoon printed in an Arab newspaper?

This is one of the cartoons printed in the Danish newspaper.

This one, as you can see, shows the Prophet telling suicide bombers that there aren't anymore virgins. I thought this one was the funniest, plus it makes a good point. Now, for the anti-Jewish cartoon...

This one shows Israeli soldiers gleefully slaughtering Palastenian children and fellow Jews drinking their blood. Disgusting, not funny, horrible, despicable. This cartoon makes no point. All it is is pure hate against the Jewish people.

And do you see any riots? Any protests or flag burnings? Of course not. So why does the media love Islam?

Protests Over Muhammad Caricatures Continue; Four Killed

"KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghan troops opened fire on demonstrators Monday, leaving at least four people dead, while Iranian police used tear gas to disperse hundreds of protesters hurling stones and firebombs at the Danish Embassy in Tehran as anger mounted over the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad."

I could name a dozen anti-Christian caricatures and TV shows and movies and that's just in the US. The mocking that Christians and Jews get overseas far exceeds anything the Danish press ever dreamed of publishing about Arabs. And you know what - I haven't seen a single act of violence as a result.

                                                    I don't exist!!

Or maybe I'm ethereal or a ghost or, well, just read this (italics in red are my words):

                                                    "Joke or real?

I'm not sure if I find it scary, or annoying, or some combination of both. It's apparently (and I italicize that word for a reason) a group of four siblings with their own blogs.

Two of these siblings are twin girls, fifteen-year-olds: Eye of the Storm and In the Pines and their two younger brothers, : The Gun Dude The Lone Ranger.
                                                    Yup, no argument there.

Eye of the Storm is nothing but politics, but it's foaming-at-the-mouth anti-democrat politics uhh... she's a Republican?, and a bit of racism. Because we know how racially tolerant the party of Robert Byrd is. Are we to believe that a 15 year old girl with a pink blog would blog about Alito, liberals, and Canadian elections, and toss off a phrase like "maddening vociferous rhetoric?" Don't worry, I'll tell her not to use any more "big words."

The other twin's blog doesn't seem so bad What an insult coming from a liberal til you start reading comments and see that not only is it anti-democrat and anti-liberal, it's also more than a little racist, and anti-Muslim (which someone should explain to her is NOT the same as being anti-terrorist.) I don't recall writing anything particularly anti-Muslim, however since I don't see any Muslim leaders coming out against terrorism, so maybe it is closer to the same thing than you think.

The Gun Dude is just a bit scary, since the gun dude himself is a 13 year old who describes himself as a conservative and plans to blog about gun rights. Okay, I just realized that that is equally scary AND funny. What's so unusual about that? Apparantly she's not from the South. Still though, his supposed take on torture is rather interesting. To say the least.

The Lone Ranger seems harmless enough, if you can believe that a seven year old boy would choose to blog about media bias against Bush. Right. For the record, there was only 1 political post. All the posts were completely his, though. He watches Fox News with us almost every night. Would it be better were he obsessed with Sponge Bob?

I dunno. I could maybe believe that one kid in a family could be this odd Honey, if you don't think a whole family can be odd, you apparantly don't get out of the house too much, but four in one family just screams "brainwashing" to me. What a silly thing to say. OF COURSE my parents brainwash me ALL time. And at least one blog does mention that they are home-schooled, so there you go." And you couldn't be showing signs of Public School brainwashing, now could you?

This whole thing is a bit weird. Tell me WHY this woman is so obsessed with us? YES I am weird for a 15-year-old. I probably won't convince her I'm a real teenager, so here are some facts about me that will convince her otherwise, since the poor thing obviously needs some blogging material.

Reader's Digest is my favorite magazine and it has been since I was 8 or 9 years old. Maybe THAT'S why I have an aversion to saying "like" and blabbering worthlessly about makeup and clothes or whatever it is she thinks I should be interested in.

I am planning to read "None Dare Call It Treason," and "Stolen Honor."

I dress like an old lady (so says Rebekah.) What the heck? I was just wearing a gray cardigan. What's wrong with that?

Even when I am not wearing old lady clothes, I have a dislike for looking like a hooker. Which is really odd.

I am a complete anti-feminist who has no desire to work after I'm married. OOOH stone me... I speak blasphemy!

I attend church every week and enjoy it (OH MY IT'S THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT!! ALLAH SAVE US!) Oooh, sorry, didn't mean to be anti-Muslim or anything. I also hate popular church music and love Hymns. "When the roll is called up yonder, when the roll is called up yonder..."

I also LOVE classic country music. Dolly Parton is my favorite. "In the pines, in the pines, where the sun never shines, and you shiver when the cold wind blows..."

                                                    I am a vegan redneck. I PROMISE. OK, so I'm somewhat flexi-vegan...

Well, that's all I can think of now, I'm sure that's more, because I'm just a weird person. Ask my siblings. If you, of course, choose to believe they exist.

                                                    This is sort of bizarre...

                                                    My blog is worth $15,242.58.
How much is your blog worth?

Somehow I find that hard to believe. But it is kinda cool...

                                                    Time to stop pandering!

After watching the State of the Union, and the anchors' commentary, I began to wonder about a few things.

Why do we care if we make allies out of enemies? Why should we care if we please the Democrats, we're Republicans, aren't we? Why should we care if the Democrats don't like what we're doing, we have the majority. As I recall, Clinton was not too worried about pleasing us.

                                                    So why should we care?
