From The "Bias? What Liberal Bias?" Files.
This is just outrageous.
The MSM is obviously eager to paint Fox News in the worst light, but this takes the cake. Read the following excerpt from an editorial in the Orlando Sentinel. It's written by Roger Moore, and it's in regards to a new book about Senator Joe McCarthy.
QUOTE:
Johnson entertains by showing how the decades haven't altered the teams in this war for America's political soul. McCarthy's best friend, the man who loaned him a copy of "Mein Kampf," was a fellow Wisconsin conservative, Urban Van Susteren. Progressives won't be surprised that Greta Van Susteren, a FOX News mainstay and Urban's daughter, grew up in a home with a cherished edition of Hitler's famous template for fascist political organization and bigoted scapegoating.
END QUOTE.
"Hmm . . . I have a great idea: let's call a Fox News anchor a Nazi - brilliant!"
A few facts they overlooked . . .
While Van Susteren's father was the manager of his campaign - in 1946 - it was eight years prior to her birth. McCarthy died in 1957, and, as she puts it in her blog, at age 2 3/4 she was ineligible to vote for him. Not only that, in her book; My Turn at the Bully Pulpit, there is a chapter which discusses Joe McCarthy. In it she condemed his actions - it is not secret how she felt.
