I really haven't dropped off the planet!
Gosh, it's been what - two months - since I even attempted to blog. I'm still here, just really busy! With finals coming up, photography, and way too much math (grr), I just haven't found time to post anything slightly intelligent.
This is supposed to be a political blog, so here's some of the stuff that's caught my eye lately.
Seems that Sheryl Crow and Karl Rove got into a little spat recently over global warming...
"..Crow tried to calm things down but was instead drawn into the debate
with Rove, telling him, "You work for me."
Rove responded, "No. I work for the American people."
Haha, is it just me or do these actors and singers all seem to be self-appointed experts on anything political (or should I say, anything politically liberal)? And then I'm told I can't debate anything because I'm not a scientist, or because I didn't have an abortion, or because I'm not gay? It's kinda funny when you think about it.
And this is absolutely despicable. It's horrible and awful and more adjectives than I have. Is there any hope for peace in the middle east? After seeing things like this, it makes me wonder.
And finally, our hearts and prayers are with the families of the victims of the Virginia Tech shooting. Sometimes I think the news shows and newspapers are so interested in saying over and over that it's a record, or talking about what the killer wrote in college plays, or in showing endless pictures of him with a gun, that we forget about the people that died. It's really sad.
So I'm not sure if that was an intelligent post or not ;), but it was a little bit more than I've posted in awhile, and I'll try to come comment at y'all's sites more often too. Wish me luck on my finals this and next week! :)
